Henry 'Obediah' Barber stood at over 6' 6" tall. He led surveyors through the Okefenokee Swamp where he built his own log cabin that still stands there today. He sired 20 children and was known to hunt large game. And on several occasions he even wrestled alligators. I have no children, but I did kill a deer once. I was in high school, and I hit it with my car. I immediately vomited and cried. I write songs. I songs about sad people, sad times, swampy stuff. I hope that my great, great great grandfather, Obediah, would be able to look pass my inability to wrestle alligators and still consider me one of the swamp people.
