As of now every venue at THE FEST 9 is 18+ except 1982 and Wayward Council. . This is a rule of the city of Gainevsille! We are awaiting the City of Gainesville to give us an official statement on if parents or legal guardians can bring minors with them to the 18+ venues.
EVERYONE ATTENDING FEST 9 MUST HAVE A VALID ID WITH BIRTH DATE TO GET INTO ANY OF THE VENUES. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! If you donÕt have a driverÕs license then you must have a legal ID or Passport. College IDs will not work.

What are the venues and how far are the venues?
All of the venues are in walking distance. The Venue, The Atlantic, Market Street Pub, Common Grounds, 8 Seconds, CMC and Flacos are all in a four block radius. 1982 is about 11 blocks from the Atlantic and 8 blocks from The Venue. These are all walking blocks. Gainesville has a very small downtown.

How do I get there? Rental Cars? Flights? Greyhound?
The Gainesville Regional Airport is a quick cab ride to downtown. They mainly use Atlanta as a hub. Check there, but Jacksonville, Tampa, or Orlando are usually cheaper.
Also, check out:
Runways. It is a shuttle service that runs from Jacksonville/Orlando Airport to Gainesville and back daily. Pretty cheap if you book 4 folks together plus you can sleep in the A/C.
Gainesville also has a
Greyhound station that is in walking distance from downtown or a short cab ride.
-
Can I buy a FEST 9 pass for just one day?

Can I be an official FEST 9 Photographer?
All interested parties should contact the Official Fest 9 Photography Overlord, Lindsay Beaumont (
photos@thefestfl.com) with portfolio samples and details about previous work. We can only accept a limited number of FEST 9 Photographers and their mission is to document the entire FEST 9 experience, so experience with bands/live music is not necessary but obviously helpful.

-
Is there an environmental impact to The FEST and what can I do about it?
Yes, with the help of a local non-profit initiative
CREx we found out that last year’s CO2 footprint was estimated at over 8,000 tonnes! This is about 1 ton per person or equal to driving around the world in your uncle’s F-150 830 times. Much of this is attributable to the overseas flights from bands and dedicated international fans. But some of this is from electricity use in the venues. This year like last year, local businesses are throwing down to offset shows and make recycling available for the 3 days. Unfortunately, we can’t offset everything, but with your help we’ll try. You can make a donation to this effort when you purchase your tickets online
here.
