Above Them
West Yorkshire’s Above Them have achieved a lot in their short time together. They have appeared on the latest chapter of Deep Elm’s legendary ‘Emo Diaries’, toured the USA’s Mid-West and then to complete a rather impressive American triumvirate, they performed at No Idea’s celebrated festival of all things punk rock - The Fest in Gainesville, Florida. The band also have 3 ep's and a album to their name.
With their influences served up in equal measures of gruff American punk (Against Me, Hot Water Music, Small Brown Bike), the best of the past decade's UK underground scene (Kids Near Water, Spy Vs Spy, Dugong) and with their strong uncompromising DIY ethic and constant punishing tour schedules - Above Them are one of the best examples of all that is good in the UK's underground scene.
