October 24th! Update!

Posted Oct 24

Greeting and salutations FESTers,

After a home stretch of sleepless nights, queasy nerves and glossy eyes, Fest weekend is finally here! People are rolling into town. Pre-shows are happening. The office is set up at the Holiday Inn. Networks are live. We’re in a hundred places at once, getting this wild ride to run without a hitch!

If you’re reading this, you’re most likely hanging with your bros, on your way and have a few questions. TO HELP US ALL OUT, PLEASE READ THE WEBSITE FIRST.

DON’T CALL NO IDEA RECORDS. THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT’S GOING ON.

READING THE WEBSITE:

REGISTRATION:

If you have any questions about registration: click here.

Keep an eye out for signs. We’ll be running two lines this year. One for general attendees, and another for bands/sponsors/press/guests. This should help clear up some confusion.
Registration on Thursday (tomorrow) is only for general attendees. If you ordered merch, you can get it either Friday or Saturday at registration.

If you have any other questions: click here.

If you have a question about walk up sales: check out the schedule, where prices and amounts are listed.

OTHER:

If you have a question about hotel confirmations: click here.

If you are a band and have no idea what’s going on, check your inbox. Sarah has been emailing the main contact for the band many times now.

WEEKEND PASSES:

Weekend passes will be available for sale at the merch stand on FRIDAY and SATURDAY only at registration. $125 cash only. You can still buy them online tonight and save a few bucks. Also – name changes are only going to be processed until noon on Thursday (tomorrow). Everyone needs a photo ID to do anything - to pick up your tickets, to get into venues, to exist in our world. Foreigners, this means you need to have your passport on hand. I know that’s nerve wracking, but your driver’s licenses won’t help you in our alligator fishing land.

All you need to get checked into Fest is your photo ID. Don't panic if you don't have your confirmation print out or credit card.

PRE-FEST SHOWS:

They’re happening!

FEST BANDCAMP COMPS:

They’re happening!

FEST 11 ART SHOW:

It’s happening!

PHONE APPS:

Droid: Thanks to John Flynn of Punknews.org for once again making a killer FEST 11 app for the Android. You can grab it here for FREE.

iPhone: Check this out! The Fest 11 by Rob McWhinnie. I still like the TARDIS though.

MYSTERY BANDS & POOL PARTY:

Look out for those to be revealed on the website tonight. It’s happening!

POOL PARTY:

You need your Fest wristband to get in. It’s BYOB, but no glass. Get ready to par-tay!

FEST PHOTO BOOTH:

The Photo Booth is bringing back the fun to Fest 11! Come see us during registration, get your photo taken, bring your friends, dress up (we’ve got props!), smile, frown, jump, drink, or do whatever – in front of a giant Fest backdrop! We’ll make sure to capture it on camera. Take a look at last year’s photos (you can find them on our website or on Facebook) to get an idea what this is all about.

The Photo Booth is TOTALLY FREE! It will cost you nothing, nada, rien,  niente, nichts! (but please consider a small donation) Also: if you are impatient and want the image right away, it will just take 1 minute to print you a copy right there on location (those will be 3$). All photos will be posted on the website and Facebook after the Fest.

You can find us during Friday registration from noon till about 6pm at the Holiday Inn, in the same room as the registration. The line is probably right by us. So feel free to step aside for a minute and take a photo. We will also be at the Holiday Inn after party on Sunday night.

Hope to see a lot of you in the weekend!

Your Fest Photo Booth Team: Marc, Kendra, Robert

--

We’re all excited and want to send all the posi-vibes your way. We're looking to another great year. Safe travels, and see you in the Swamp soon!

BIG SCHEUDLE CHANGES:

So, if you look at the schedule page you will see that there have been some crazy changes made. Biggest cause of this is that we are no longer going to be doing shows FEST weekend at STEREO. Nothing really bad happened. They just got in with a little capacity issues recently, so we decided that maybe this year would not be the best time to use them as a venue. We really hope they get everything worked out with the city so we can add them to the family of venues next year.

Luckily we were able to find a NEW space to cover those shows. We will be doing shows all weekend long at a new space owned by the folks who run THE TOP/ THE ATLANTIC. FEST will be their first weekend open and the space is coming along in great strides. On the schedule we will be listing it as THE NEW TOP SPOT (but is still listed as STEREO in the meantime). Until they come up with something better this will do. So, check out the schedule and take a look how things shifted. I hope the schedule will stay pretty strong on it’s legs and we do not have many more changes.

FEST  VIP PASS UPGRADE:

On Monday Oct 15th at 7:00pm EST,  we will sell 100 FEST VIP PASS UPGRADES. What are these you ask? Well, these are upgrades to your FEST 11 weekend pass. If you are one of the lucky 100 people to purchase this upgrade you will have the privilege to skip the lines and get into the venues even faster at all FEST 11 shows. However, if the venue is at capacity you will have to wait at the front of the line until space opens up at in the venue. You will NOT be able to escort and these passes will come with a special laminate and colored FEST wristband so they will NOT be transferable. Once again you MUST have or purchase a FEST 11 weekend pass to purchase the upgrade for your pass. This is NOT a weekend pass. Dig? If you are in a band/sponsor/volunteer and would like to purchase a VIP upgrade please note in your order what band or if you are a volunteer/sponsor. We can switch out your general pass for your VIP pass you have purchased.

These upgrades will be $100 each and we are only selling 100 of them starting Monday Oct 15th at 7:00pm EST on the TICKETS PAGE!!!

DOWNLOAD COMPS:

We once again will be giving you guys a series of 6 FREE download compilations of bands playing FEST 11. Check them out here. We will be adding the rest in the weeks leading up to FEST. A special thanks goes out to all the bands for donating a song and to our very own Sarah Goodwin for taking the time to compile these for you all to enjoy.

With the curating help of Edie Snyder we will once again be having a wonderful FEST ART SHOW. If you find yourself in Gainesville early on Thursday swing by the opening or stop in at some point during the weekend. The gallery is located right next to CMC and in walking distance to all the venues.

FEST RADIO PODCASTS

Finally, check out the little blurb and  link below.

Fest Season is getting under way.  Plans get made, and plans get scrapped.  Over the summer, Tony and Dave started working on a Fest Radio podcast to highlight new bands, chat up history and share stories.  The plan was ambitious, but only a couple episodes were made. Here's Episode 1.  Episode 2 will be airing on WGOT-LP, 94.7 FM Saturday 6PM, EST during the Fest.  Also streaming online at wgot.org

This month The Top Shelf is yielding our spot to on Lead Us Down to Fest Radio, the great idea that never quite got off the ground to get it's own place to live.  We will be back next month with more in depth album interviews.

This episode of Fest Radio features Tony and Dave drinking beer brewed in Gainesville listening to and chatting about the following bands: Static Radio / Broadcaster / Menzingers / Cheap Girls / Broadway Calls/ Dikembe / Titus Andronicus / Look Mexico / Glocca Morra / The Smith Street Band / Toys That Kill.

September 5th! Update!

Posted Sep 05

Hey Everyone,

Fall is here, and with it the mad cap colorful world of Orange and Blue has once again invaded our town leaving me the only option of hiding away in my house or a dark bar and getting the final preparations for FEST 11 in order. We have the update that you  all have been waiting for , THE FEST 11 SCHEDULE HAS BEEN POSTED.

So, take it all in. I look forward to hearing all your whimpering about said band playing against said band. I know it is hard but at least you get to see majority of them.  Put yourself in my flops for once. I spend almost a year working on all this and spent months slaving over this schedule and when it comes down to it I honestly get to see maybe a song or two from a handful of bands.  There are just too many damn good bands playing so when you do the math someone has to play against someone awesome right? Also, when we announce some of our planned pre-fest shows (hopefully soon) maybe you can catch someone early on and scratch them off your wish list. Also, you will noticed we are doing the MYSTERY BAND slots again this year. To save the rumors there will be no one that is not already playing FEST 11 playing this year. Or, so far. Those slots will be announced Friday morning of FEST and will be bands who are already playing doing a “special” set to look cool and get more free beer and grub. We have some lined up and will be asking a few more in the weeks to come. If you want a band to do it then BUG THEM! Not us about it.

We also added a few bands bands since our last update: New to FEST 11 will be:

Candy Hearts, Dads, GG King, The Ones to Blame, Hostage Calm, The World is a beautiful place & I am no longer afraid to die, Sauis La Lune, Citizen, Life Chain, The Joint Chiefs of Math and the return of High Voltage (Bon Scott-era AC/DC Tribute band)

In bad news Baroness had to bail from all their 2012 show dates. If you did not hear yet, the band was involved in a major tour bus accident in the UK where they were pretty banged up and spent a great deal of time in the hospital. As of Aug 27th all have been treated and released. For more info please visit the band’s site: http://baronessmusic.com/

These guys have been close friends of FEST since the early days of it’s inception. We are just glad they made it out of this tragic accident alive and hope to see them blowing our brains again soon.

Also, if you have not had the pleasure to view the 6 part documentary about an epic journey to FEST 10 by the Aussie folks over at D.I Wireless check them all out here:

The final episode culminates with their arrival in Gainesville for FEST 10 and honestly gave me goose bumps when I watched it. Check it out in our video player above and much love to them for all their heart and hard work that went into capturing the true essence of what FEST is all about!

I think that is about it for today. Look soon for PRE-FEST show announcements and the addition of FEST 11 COMEDY SHOWCASE!!!

Cheers,

Tony

August 15th! Update!

Posted Aug 15

Hey everybody,

So here's our little update for the middle of August. We're pretty much at the end of the line for our confirmed bands for Fest 11. Got a few stragglers still out there we had hoped to get them confirmed for you by today but it doesn't look like its going to happen. Hopefully they will figure their shit our and confirm soon, but if not they'll just be missing a good party.
Here's who we have to add to the massive list of bands already headed to Gainesville for Fest 11:

Sainthood Reps
Fake Problems
Dwarves
Brian McGee
Hull
Paul Baribeau
Riverboat Gamblers
Let Me Run
Rivernecks
Tubers
The Criminals
Worlds Scariest Police Chases
Kepi Ghoulie
The Treats

You may have noticed we have also increased the price of Fest 11 weekend passes to $100. We had originally said we would do the increase July 1st, but summer's been too much fun, and we've been kind of busy so we missed the deadline. Hopefully many of you gained from our slack-ness. For those of you who didn't, get your passes now because we only have 800 passes left for sale. Please let your friends know to grab their tickets now so they don't miss the boat on raging with you all weekend long in Gainesville!

We have also been blessed from the mighty HORSEBITES with another killer FEST T-shirt design and a limited edition art print (limited to 200) for sale. You can purchase these and other HORSEBITES FEST related merchandise on the TICKETS page, and it will be waiting for you at registration.

If all goes to plan, we should be unveiling the FEST 11 schedule on 8/31 so tune back in then or follow us on facebook or twitter to be in the know when we have this information updated. Untill then, enjoy the rest of the summer and don't fall down wasted and break your damn hand like this guy.

Cheers,
Tony

July 31st! Update!

Posted Jul 31

Hello FEST friends,

Sorry for the lapse in delays, but we think the wait will be worth it. Check out this update we’ve been brewing!

WE’VE ADDED MORE BANDS! NOW 289 CONFIRMED!!!

So, we are really excited to announce that Propagandhi will be playing FEST 11. This is something we have been working on for years, and it is an honor to have them finally come back to Florida and get to experience what we all have been enjoying for over a decade.

Also, we are getting GRADE and LATTERMAN to get back on the horse and ride back to Gainesville!

Then, just for shits and giggles, we added Smoke or Fire, The Copyrights, Mean Jeans, Ceremony, Such Gold, Old Man Markley, Useless I.D., A Great Big Pile of Leaves, Hull, Alligator, High Dive, Timeshares, Toby Foster, Vacation, Xerxes, The Hunters, DNF, Fight Amp, Hull, War on Women, Cattle Drums, Stabbed in Back, State Lines, Prawn, Mountain Man, Wild Tribe, Andrew Cream, Volunteer, Money/Paper/Hearts, The Resonants, Direct Effect, and Jason Kutchma.

If I am correct I think we now have 289 confirmations. So, this year is gonna be quite epic!!!

TICKETS:

Speaking of epic, SUMMER 2012!!! So much that we did not even realize that we were going to raise the price of FEST 11 weekend passes on July 1st. Whooops! So, you can still get FEST 11 weekend passes at the lower price of $85 until PJ get's back from his honeymoon – on August 15th.

We added a new venue (STEREO) so we can sell more passes!!! We are raising the number to 4,000 TOTAL weekend passes up for sale. We have less than a 1,000 left and I can see these going fast with the bands just added. Go to the TICKETS page to grab them, hotel rooms (what we have left) and FEST 11 Merch by HORSEBITES!!!

Speaking of HORSEBITES, Richard made us another FEST ART PRINT!

Check it out:

FEST 11 HORSEBITES LIMITED PRINT

ONLY 200 MADE!!! ($25)

18x24, will be numbered and signed, goes on sale 8/15

SCHEDULE:

Shooting for an 8/31 announcement. Crossed digits!

PRE-FEST:

We here in Gainesville have planned 4 official PRE-FEST shows: They all be happen on Thursday OCT 25th. They will be at Double Down (High Dive), Loosey's, 1982 and The Laboratory. All shows should have Pre-sale ticket options and 100% of the door from the shows go back to the bands after venue expenses. So, we hope to help some of our friends make a little extra cash to blow all weekend like a bunch of rockstars! We will announce the official lineups, pre-sale ticket links, and some bad ass flyers from HORSEBITES on 8/31!!! If you are putting on your own PRE-FEST show, send us the flyer image, and we will help you spread the word when we announce ours. Email them to tony@noidearecords.com

SAD NEWS:

We have had some bands drop off as of late. Most are because the bands got offered killer tours that are no way worth passing up to play FEST. A few are even recording new albums! So, pour a lil’ out when you are here for the ones who could not make it: TORCHE, RED FANG, COLISEUM, MARGATE, PIANOS BECOME THE TEETH, LIFE COACH, BIG EYES, TOUCHE AMORE, WASTER, BLANK SLATE and our good friends from CADILLAC BLINDSIDE who thought it only respectful to write you all an explanation for their absence.

Dearest Fans Old and New of Cadillac Blindside,

It's with a swollen and torn heart that I write this message. This reunion has been something we've all been looking forward to, and after 10 years in the making the time had finally come to walk to the stage one last time. Sadly for now, our appearance at FEST will have to wait yet again. The silver lining to this is that the delay is due to the fact that our very own James and Becky have found out they are expecting in the fall! Obviously for safety and health reasons for Becky and the baby to be, flying to Gainesville and playing a rock show wouldn't be advised. We had toyed with the idea of playing with a fill in drummer, but it just wouldn't be the reunion we've waited a decade to do. Have no doubt Tony and all the awesome bands traveling to G-Ville will keep you plenty full of rock and brew, and in the meantime hold tight. We promise this is going to happen sooner then later. Huge thanks in advance for your understanding, and please PLEASE have a round or ten for us!

Cheers
ZaQ and CBS

That is about it for this update. Now that we have everything locked down we can tighten up this schedule, maybe book a few more bands, talk some into playing really dumb MYSTERY BAND shows, plan how to make the FEST POOL PARTY kinda weird this year, and get this party planning finished so we get to October already!

May 25th! Update!

Posted May 25

Greetings FEST friends,

So, it is 1:00am the night before this will hopefully post. I just bowled 6 games, and for as many cold ones we consumed, I think I will be ready for Vegas this weekend. That is right. We will be at PunkRockBowling. This year, we just have a FEST team but it will be I think my 6th year going out and trying not to damage this pickled body too much. I could go on forever, but I hope we have the right of mind to put some pics up via Twitter so be sure to follow our antics. If you happen to be out there, we bowl at epic Sam’s Town Casino at 3pm on Saturday. If we do alright, then we advance to the tournament on Sunday. Come get us hyped! Just save the shots til we make it over to the bar with the howling wolf and the mighty black bear. U.S.A. chants and lazer light/ water show!!! Fucking best bar ever!

Here is a pic of the tight PBR bowling balls we got from your favorite PBR rep ever, Matt. He is the devil but in a good way, and he will be on the team along with my good friend Ryan from Spanish Gamble/Bone Shakers, his lovely lady and my tight roomie Emily!

So, the actual FEST update:

We added more bands!!!

Plow United; Laura Stevenson and the Cans; Tiltwheel; David Liebe Hart Band; Kevin Seconds; Whiskey & Co.; Ninja Gun; Tim Version; Horace Pinker; Ampere; Delay; Greys

Stickup Kid
Worriers; Bent Left; Divided Heaven; Protagonist; Teenage Softies; The Atom Age; The Borderlines; Boardroom Heroes; Lowtalker; DiMarcos; Nerd Alert; Bone Dance; Silversnakes; Half Hearted Hero; Rose Cross; The Capitalist Kids; Big Awesome; Springtime; Choke Up

TICKET SALES:

We have 850 FEST WEEKEND PASSES LEFT! Just a heads up for those of you who have not gotten yours yet.

That is about it I guess. For those of you who are old Fest alumni, we are looking into the Abbey Road/ Brick City space. Still have yet to get into it since it closed down years ago, but if that happens we will be adding more awesome headliners!!! We already have a list of bands who want to play but it breaks my soul to turn them away now. We honestly have NO MORE SPOTS on any venue that could hold over 200 people. Stacked showcases this year. I just finished the first draft of the schedule and it is pretty ape!

Signing off with a full bag packed, bowling ball warmed up, and some tight jams from Treasure Fleet. If you do not know get into it!

April 30th! Update!

Posted Apr 30

Good Monday to you all and a sad goodbye to the wonderful spring month of April.

May is creeping in and you can start feeling the heat down here in Gainesville. It’s starting to be that time of year were the students leave, swim trucks start being broken out and weekend water fun begins.

Last time we updated, we announced some new bands and had a crazy day launching the ticket and hotel sales. It was a wild first day and like most first days of anything there were some glitches. I think we have everything worked out and are also in talks with the Paramount Plaza to release more rooms for anyone who had their heart set on staying there. Unfortunately, the Holiday Inn University Center sold out in about an hour, and many of you did not get a room booked there. We had no idea it would go that fast, and I know some of you from overseas had some issues in booking due to our credit card service providers’ restrictions on overseas transactions. We do truly apologize for all the hassle and wish we could have helped more; however it took us a while to get those issues straight with the company. Sorry again. We learn a little every time.

In good news though, we are super excited to announce a few more additions to the ever growing FEST 11 lineup! Joining the massive list of bands coming this year will be Good Riddance, Negative Approach, From Ashes Rise, The Bomb, Sonic Avenues, La Dispute, Captain We’re Sinking, City of Ships, Dukes of Hillsborough, Snakehealers, Billy & Joe and Party Drag!

So far we announced a massive list of amazing bands that are coming to party down with us all in October. A few happen to be Lagwagon, Anti-Flag, Braid, 7 Seconds, Naked Raygun, Frank Turner, Streetlight Manifesto, F.Y.P. , Baroness, A Wilhelm Scream, Mustard Plug, Andrew Jackson Jihad and a special Cadillac Blindside reunion show.

Go to the BANDS page to view and listen to them all.

We are going to take a few weeks before we add more additions. You might see a few just pop up here and there on the site. For now, I think we need to pull back the reigns a little bit and work on the schedule to see just how much room we have left, but trust me, there are a ton of bands left that want to play and are just figuring out their schedules still.

FEST 11 weekend passes are going FASTER THAN EVER BEFORE!!! We are only able to sell 3,250 passes and as I type this update we are at 1,887 sold. That happened in a little over a week! Do not be that person a few months from now who is freaking out because they can not get a FEST 11 weekend pass. Get it today on the TICKETS PAGE.

Thanks again for checking us out. Hope to have more updates and the first episode of our FEST RADIO SHOW on WGOT to check out in a few weeks.

-Tony and the FEST 11 crew

April 20th! Update!

I would also like to send a congrats out to Roger from Less Than Jake who is getting married today. Fucking Hippie!!!

We are only going to sell 3.275 FEST 11 WEEKEND PASSES. They are $85 each from now until July 1st. 2012. After that they go up to $100 (if we are not sold out). So do NOT snail on this!!! HOTELS will go quickly as well, but please take your time with your order. There is a charge to change things. If you are having issues with your order please email peej@noidearecords.com.

Two weeks ago we announced a massive list of amazing bands that are coming to party down with us all in October. A few happen to be Lagwagon, Anti-Flag, Braid, Naked Raygun, Frank Turner, Streetlight Manifesto, Baroness,A Wilhelm Scream, Mustard Plug, Andrew Jackson Jihad and a special Cadillac Blindside reunion show.

This week we are not at 217 confirmed bands by adding: 7 Seconds, F.Y.P, Titus Andronicus, The Menzingers, Toys that Kill, The Soviettes, Underground Railroad to Candyland, We Are The Union, The Front Bottoms, La Dispute, The Criminals, Waster, Stoned at Heart, Waxahatchee, Cop Problem, No Weather Talks, The Manix, Billy Wallace, Code Orange Kids, Despite Everything, Former Thieves, The Great Explainer ,Young Turks, Criminal Culture, The 20 Belows, American War, Rob Lynch, Margate, Broadcaster ,Jus' Folks, Possessed by Paul James, Raindance, American Pinup, Bear Trade, Kill You Dead, Hold Tight!, The Liberation Service, Little League, Nightmares for a Week, No More and One Win Choice.

Go to the BANDS page to view and listen to them all.

We still have more confirmations to come and plan to announce them in two weeks if all goes well!!! Got some good things still cooking in the kitchen and I have time before the party so be patient with these bands as they try to figure out their fall schedules.

I am sad to say that we have heard early that the following bands will NOT be playing FEST 11. Promise Ring, Against Me, Propagandhi, Lawrence Arms, Fucked Up, Hot Snakes, Night Marchers, NOFX, None More Black, Obits, Paint It Black, Lifetime, Russian Circles, They Might Be Giants, and a few others. Just wanted to let FEST fans know that I tried and we will again if there is a next year.

I think that is about all we have to announce today. Check out our video of the week. The 1st episode of Australian punk rock podcast D.I.Wireless month-long road trip to attend FEST 10. I think there will be six episodes in all, and we will have them here first.

Thanks again and I hope we all make it though this crazy weekend! We have Tim Barry coming on Sunday so that equals hung over Monday morning!!!

-Tony and the FEST 11 crew.

April 6th! Launch!

Posted Apr 05

Welcome everyone to the official launch of the FEST 11 website! We started early once again in hopes to give you all time to figure out how you are going to get Gainesville for our big 11 year anniversary. Dates for FEST 11 are Oct 26, 27 & 28, 2012.

I would like to thank the fine folks at Black Axe for the tight site design and our new TIKI party theme this year. As always, they have outdone themselves!

Booking FEST 11 was a bit of a challenge this year since it seemed like we had almost every alumni band in our town last year, but we have only begun the process and are really proud to say that we have a shit ton of bands already booked, and a ton of new bands coming to party with us all this year like Lagwagon, Braid, Anti-Flag Streetlight Manifesto, Ensign, Red Fang, Mustard Plug, Joyce Manor, Dan Vapid and the Cheats, Crusades, Black God,  and many MANY more exciting new bands we hope to expose to you.

We also are giving an open arms return to the likes of Frank Turner, Naked Raygun, Baroness, Torche, The Swellers, Valient Thorr, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Shook Ones, The Sidekicks, Night Birds, Into It. Over It, Shellshag, Larry and His Flask, Burning Love, as well as many of our close family of bands who seem to never miss FEST!!!

Speaking of returns, it has been almost a decade since anyone has seen the likes of our really good friends Cadillac Blindside (featured band on the site). For those of you who are in the know you can thank me when we are all there at the show singing along. For those of you who don’t…get into it! Personally this is a really big deal to me. Cadillac Blindside was not only an amazing band when they were active, but some of the closest friends I had when I first moved to Gainesville even though they are from Minneapolis. Getting them to reunite has taken years in the making, and we could not be more pleased to have our good friends back in Gainesville!!! Fest has changed quite a bit since they have played so I hope you all will help me in welcoming them back!!!

Many of the bands this year are making their appearance at FEST 11 very special by making it their exclusive show in Florida. You can see a little icon on their band photo letting you know who is only coming to Gainesville to party down.

Go to the BANDS page of the site and check everyone out. Once we get all the info in from the bands, each page should have a song to check out, a video, links, and a little bit about the band that they have written. You can also jam out the FEST radio player and, hopefully, find some new favorite bands. I already have some newbies that are in my constant rotation while working on this beast. We are also not done booking this fucker. We have a few tricks still up our sleeves so stay tuned. We hope to have another big batch of bands to announce in the months to come. There are a ton of bands we are in talks with who are still trying to figure out their fall plans. Hell, I am totally shocked that this many bands have their shit together this far in advance. Trust me. This is only the beginning my friends.

In the months to come, we will also be doing our FREE DIGITAL DOWNLOAD COMPS. Last year we had 6. You can still download them here.

REGISTRATION: We will once again be doing it at the HOLIDAY INN UNIVERSITY CENTER. We have a plan to make the line move much faster this year and opening up an early registration on Thursday. We also have already stated planning some OFFICIAL PRE-FEST SHOWS for that day in Gainesville. So, come to town a little early and party an extra day.  We will not be announcing who is playing PRE-FEST until later this summer, but I already have Double Down and Loosey’s totally booked up. We are getting dangerously close to making FEST a four day marathon.

FEST WEEKEND PASSES/ HOTELS/ MERCH go on sale April 20th at 1:00pm EST. Give us something else to celebrate that day! We are gonna do an early turd price again this year. It will be $85 before July 1st. Then it goes up to $100. So do not snooze! Last year we sold out in 60 days! We are only going to sell 3,275 weekend passes. Same we sold last year.

HOTELS:

We now have 4 OFFICAL FEST HOTEL PARTNERS. The new ones have some pretty cool room features! Go to the HOTELS page to get the scoop on each hotel, and come back on 4/20 to get your pick. Hopefully with 4 hotels we will not sell out so fast.

FEST 11 MERCH:

Horsebites has once again graced up with some really kick ass wear again this year. We also brought back the FEST Hoodie and the FEST Pint glasses that were so popular last year. We also will have a third shirt design and a limited edition Horsebites FEST 11 Art Print for sale in the months to come. With this year’s TIKI theme I can only imagine how crazy that print will turn out.

OUR FEATURED VIDEO:

In October 2011, the makers of Australian punk rock podcast D.I.Wireless embarked on a month-long road trip to attend the 10th anniversary of THE FEST.

Along the way they met a number of bands who make the same pilgrimage year after
year to one of the biggest punk rock parties ever forgotten. The series captures thoughts
about hometown scenes as well as what makes THE FEST so unique - told by those who
play the theatres, bars and cafes, but are also just as much part of the debauchery as the
thousands of people from around the world who swarm to Gainesville every year.

All 6 episodes can be seen here on the FEST 11 site and at D.I.Wireless with a new episode debuting every 2 weeks.

KEEP INFORMED ABOUT FEST 11 & HELP SPREAD THE WORD:

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for updates. We hope to do some really cool stuff with the site this year and maybe even debut a few things from bands in the months to come. Seems like everyone is putting out new material this year! Hopefully we can get some sneak peaks for you.

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE! CRAZY FROM THE HEAT!
