Or by 'not gonna be pretty' and 'not gonna like what what I got comin' do you mean you're not an attractive guy/girl and are gonna bring a Spice Girls cover band with you? If it is a threat of violence I won't rise to the challenge being a visitor to your country, however, if I (and I'm pretty sure I speak for all or at least most of the UK visitors) see anyone getting picked on for no reason other than being a Fest party person, I will step in and do whatever is necessary. I suggest if you feel so strongly about Fest goers you should stay away and let the businesses in your beloved town enjoy the benefits without any trouble. |

I've warned people once or twice in the past for making threatening remarks on this board. I considered giving this guy a ban warning but his douche level was so high I guess I just felt like the whole thing sounded like a joke.

2. Don't lie, I know the locals love it when Fest comes. I was talking about it with a few people from gainesville recently, and they say it's one of the most amusing weekends of the year. |

Yes, we do love it when Fest comes around. I have been a loyal Fest attendee since Fest 1 (I did miss Fest  and I can say that MOST of the folks in town, do LOVE you guys. I think there may be a little 'shock' to some of the locals, but for the most part, by mid-Friday, everyone is over it and enjoying the conversations and new friendships from all over the world. My mom was in Loosey's last year for the Acoustic Menzinger's show and started her day off a little tweaked, but by the end she was chatting with a dude from Finland and buying him drinks.Don't let SCOOBYDOOBYWHOTHEFUCKCARES make you think any different. I dont think we have anything to worry about, Scooby seems like a reasonable dude from the towne of hogg that just wants everyone to respect the towne of hogg and not rub their shit all over errverythang and kick over trash cans... just dont tell this dude how to ride his bike...he don't fucking play around...
little backstory for the out of towners, Gainesville used to be called hogtown back in yesteryear, due to the swine the mayor kept beneath the courthouse in the towns infancy. the region of town referred to as hogtown today is closer to westside park and hogtown creek, which happens to be a great place to uncover fossilized shark and rays teeth, as nearly all of the state of florida used to be under the ocean. now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
