Kenny wrote: The Hampton price this year is insane. Either they don't want us there or they're gouging to an unbelievable extent. I hope people go elsewhere. I'm pretty sure they don't want Festers there; my mom does the same thing whenever Spring Breakers call about renting her beach house. You're not really allowed to refuse to rent to someone (I think this is an Equal Opportunity/Housing/whatnot thing) so she just quotes them some outrageous price and they leave. Sucks to be anyone not affiliated with Fest who wanted to stay there that weekend.

That could be the case but they've always been very friendly indeed and way more polite and helpful than staff and security at the HI. They even said see ya next year at checkout to me last year! The one and only thing I can think of that may have upset them was just prior to Fest they were having some work done on one of the elevators. During Fest some idiots decided to have an elevator party and loads of people were jumping up and down in the thing like moronic over excited gorillas. If this happened to fuck up whatever it was that seem to have taking days to repair earlier in the week then I can see how that may have pissed them off a bit!
Each year there have been some fairly steep price increases and I wonder if this year they're just tryin their luck.

I think the 4th hotel is the Holiday Inn Express near I-75. The description of the Comfort Inn mentions it.

Is the hotel booking system going to be separate from the ticket ordering system? I need to use 2 different credit cards.

I think the Hampton Inn prices are weird. Last year they had free beers in the lobby on the Thursday.
