anyway.. i just booked my room at american best value inn.. 165$ for three nights with two double beds.. got 15% off with that value card, takes about 3 min to fill out on the mainpage ...

i haven't been before my dude so don't know price comparisons to last year! i do read that it's gone up ridiculous amounts. i'm not too fussed though. that price + free breakfast sounds good to me.

yours however, sounds amazingly cheap. is it far out though?

its a 30 min walk... if hampton inn would have still the same price like last year, we probably would have gone there... really close to the venues and of course, the best value inn is a rather crappy motel but totally fine for the Fest weekend

The Hampton definitely upped the prices this year from last year's. Last year we paid about $360 for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday including their parking fee. This year it's about $600. If you can get 4 people to split the room it comes to about $150 per person for the weekend which is still totally worth it for the location, breakfast, and amazingly comfortable rooms.

so how are cops/locals about people sleeping in cars in wal-mart or grocery store parking lots? I'm way too cheap to get a hotel.

The last two years we have stayed at the Knights Inn on University.....it's pretty ghetto, but it's a bed and there's a bathroom with a shower.....and I think it has been about $80 a night. It's about a half an hour walk to the Holiday Inn, but we cabbed it most of the time last year cuz it was just too hot last year.

Overall it isn't that bad of a place and it's pretty cheap.....Not my first choice...but I am not made of money (and I'd rather spend that money on merch!)

It kind of depends, but why the fuck would you want to take your chances with that shit, anyway? Getting woken up in the middle of the night sucks, regardless of the outcome. And all of those options are kind of far from the Festing grounds, anyhow. Ask around and find somebody who will let you park in their driveway or yard overnight. (FYI-I'd offer, but I live out toward the middle of bumfuck nowhere now.)

hamptons cost doesn't seem too bad. it was like $600 something for thursday - monday for 4 people which worked out about £108 each. free breakfast too? i'm happy with that.

I really want to go work in the UK in for a while, so I can make statements like this, instead of just looking at that little pound sign and going "oh, fuck, that means it's somehow WAY more expensive than it looks to me right now."

I'm still considering the Hampton Inn. Holiday Inn was so strict last year. The security came to our rooms way too often for partying.

That sucks real hard though I'm pretty stoked on my decision to book early. I got a room for $800 for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Expensive but hopefully worth it.

I still have 1 spot open if anyone wants in. The sooner I get rid of it the happier I'll be.

It is almost three miles from downtown. It is a shitty walk. It is situated next to a Lowe's and a Wal-Mart. I would find somewhere else to stay.

not to bicker but it's about 1.8 miles...as I said, the last 2 years I have stayed there and it isn't that bad....you can take taxis or walk if you are really in a bind. If you want to stay cheap, you can stay cheap there (at the Knights inn)

Maybe from the Holiday Inn but not from Downtown/Common Grounds area surely? That is if we're talking about the same place.
