Who else does this? I don't try it with every record I listen to, and usually I start off doing it by accident, but sometiems it turns out awesome.
some of the best things I've found-
any instrumental record works. Most of them sound fine both ways.
Sakes Alive 7" played too slow. Sounds amazing, and actually sounds like it might be supposed to be played that way. Fuckin' metal.
Hatebreed - "Satisfaction Is The Death Of Desire" played too fast, sounds like youth crew.
Paint It Black - "Paradise" played too slow, sounds like sludge metal.
Louis Armstrong played too slow... especially reading "The Night Before Christmas." sounds like the devil. Still pissed this was among the records an old roommate stole.

I like listening to Charlie Christian records really fast, and Benny Goodman stuff. pretty much any jazz is worth listening to too fast. i wish i had some black metal, if anyone can try that, let me know...

oddly enough I've messed with the Sakes Alive 7" also, it really does sound pretty bad ass, especially the song "I'm Religious"
The Bridge and Tunnel / Young Livers split 7" I think I remember sounding kind of cool played at the wrong speed

I get a good kick out of speeding up Sage Francis songs.

holy lol, when i got a hatebreed/integrity split 7inch i had no idea how to play the record on the right speed so i was listening to it all sped up.
then i had my buddy dub me a copy on a tape, and it was the right version...i was freakin out man.
the song was 'burial for the living'.

Dwid does have sort of a "recorded too slow" kinda sound on his vocals, now that I think about it...

damn, now I really want to find some integrity on vinyl.
I'm considering making an mp3 of "I'm Religous" at 33 and uploading for everyone to hear. Still need to try more things at 78.
