There are so many bands I want to catch. Most of them will never make it to Aus.

I'm kinda thinking along these lines too.

Then why go?

Social event. Meeting friends from all over the world I only get to see once or twice a year (if at all). That's much more satisfying then going to see a couple bands that I have seen before. Old jaded me. Basically I go see bands all the time, its really hard to get overly exited for one single event.

I'm guessing you've not been to Fest before!? It would still be the best weekend of my year even if there wasn't a single band I knew playing.

Great that you wanna come hang in our town, but with the Fest selling out maybe people that don't get to see awesome bands all the time should cOme instead of people who just want to hang around? Hanging is a huge part of Fest for sure but saying that you aren't really comin to see bands is kind of silly. I love going to the movie theater. But not really to see movies, just like hanging....

I'm most stoked about seeing Joyce Manor and Cheap Girls, as they have yet made it to Sweden along with the most bands playing this year.

I think you are missing the point. What we are saying is that we'll most likely go, no matter what bands are playing. We still come to see bands, but they are not the only reason to go.
