I know a lot of people will just drink whatever is cheap, but probably a good chunk of kids going Fest like Blue Moon. Now, I am a beer snob, but there is a really good reason to boycott Blue Moon that has nothing to do with that.
They are owned by Coors, which is one of the biggest contributors to the right-wing foundations that the Koch Brothers use to secretly fund Tea Party groups and all sorts of shitty ballot initiatives.

I highly suggest all beer drinkers to watch the documentary "Beer Wars." It has definitely turned many people off the the brewers who focus more on advertising than putting out a quality product. There's a lot of shocking information how Bud/Miller/Coors try to keep craft beer off the shelves, and other ways they lobby to guarantee they are in control of the beer market, thanks to the government. You can watch it for free: http://www.hulu.com/watch/235712/beer-wars

It's also on Netflix, if anyone has that. I'm sure a little searching online will find a free way to watch it, the Hulu is the only "officially" free way to watch I know of at the moment.

I saw it on Netflix quite a while ago. It was mostly stuff I already knew, but the presentation was good.
Basically, after prohibition ended, the beer companies wrote the laws in such a way to keep themselves in power. The three tier system is total crap, but complete deregulation would have some serious drawbacks too. Some states actually have laws that benefit smaller brewers, like Colorado.

But I generally can't stand beer with juices added afterward (Wild Blue, Leinenkugel's) or ones that need garnish to make them taste like anything.

I don't mind adding a slice of lemon to a wheat beer.
